TheEM NLP1TP40 is a 3-hour emergency lighting conversion kit which operates with Long Life LiFePO4 batteries. The unit is designed to suit an extremely wide range of LED constant current circuits. The NLP/1/TP40 automatically adjusts the output LED current to provide the best match between the battery and the load, providing maximum illumination whilst ensuring full battery duration. The batteries used with this unit not only provide double the life of traditional emergency lighting batteries but consume far less power during their operational life. Maintained emergency lighting units are always illuminated, using the same lamps for both normal and emergency operation. They switch to battery power during a power failure, ensuring continuous illumination. These fittings can also be wired to operate as non-maintained lights if needed.

Non-maintained emergency lighting units remain off during normal operation and only activate during a power failure. They use an internal battery charged from the mains to provide emergency illumination when the main power supply fails.
