Steel Wire Armoured Cable (SWA) is waterproof due to the tough PVC black sheathing, making it ideal for outdoor use. It also has a stiff metal ring of metal wires, making the internal wires impenetrable to impacts or incisions if the black sheathing is compromised.
This makes this cable ideal for use in gardens, for example, where wires could be buried under the soil and forgotten about and safety is of paramount importance. This cable will withstand spade, lawnmower or strimmer impacts. This cable is also available in a 2 core version.
A number of accessories specifically designed for use with this cable are also available.
