Introducing the Gypsum Plaster-in Trimless Adjustable Downlight - a sophisticated lighting solution that seamlessly blends into your ceiling. This plaster downlight is specifically designed to be plastered into the ceiling, creating a flawless and uninterrupted finish. The downlight comes with a Fire Hood to make the downlight Fire-Rated.

The Trimless Ghost Downlight is made from high-quality gypsum plaster, which can be painted to match your ceiling once installed. The bond between the luminaire and ceiling completely trimless and seamless, resulting in a sleek and polished look.

The Downlights have adjustable clips to be installed in any thickness plaster board is used.

When installed, the downlight merges seamlessly with the ceiling surface, creating an invisible interface that looks as though it has been cast directly into the ceiling surface. The ring should be unscrewed, fit the lamp and then screwed back. The finish quality of these fittings is unmatched by any other material, giving your space a luxurious and refined look.

Installing the Fire Hood

• Ensure to install the Fire Hood before the downlight to simplify the process.
• Lead the cable through the fire hood to connect with the downlight
• Compress the cover to fit into the opening and push it into the ceiling void, ensuring continuous contact with the firehood
• Use a blunt instrument, such as the handle of a screwdriver, or your hands to shape the Fire Hood within the hole. Ensure it is fully open in all directions.
• Once in place, position the fixing clips at the edge of the ceiling aperture.
• Make sure the Fire Hood sits flat above the downlight.

Installing the Downlight

• Adjust the clips to match the depth of the plasterboard. The clips can be adjusted to a maximum height of 46mm, depending on how they are installed.
• Secure the downlight with two screws per side, to help stabilise the light
• Apply bonding material evenly around the downlight ensuring it fills any gaps and creating a smooth surface
• Skim over the bonding material with plaster to create a seamless finish
• Once the plaster is dry, sand it down to create a smooth surface and paint over the plaster to match the colour of the ceiling.
• Please note, in the case the bulb needs changing, tilt the ring and push down on both sides- each at a time - to release the lamp holder. Fit the new bulb and push the lampholder back in place.
