The RCD Latching Fused Connection Unit is use for additional protection against electric shocks and fire risk. The unit will remain latched if the power supply is tripped.
The latch, if set, will retain closed contacts if the mains supply is interrupted - essential for applications such as freezers. It complies fully with BS 7288 and BS 1363, providing protection against fire hazard and rapid double pole disconnection that can cause electric shock for the appliance and cable connected to it.
